Growth: It’s Not a Destination, It’s the Journey

At gps, inc. & club18, we don’t chase perfection. We pursue progress.

That’s because growth isn’t a trophy you win. It’s a trail you walk.

The world will try to convince you that growth is about arriving—about crossing the finish line, achieving the title, getting the degree, or stacking up success. But we see it differently. We believe growth is a mindset, a posture, and a daily decision to keep moving—even when it’s uphill.

Growth means choosing movement over maintenance.

It’s waking up and taking one more step—even if it’s just an inch.

It’s learning something new, stretching into discomfort, and doing the hard, holy work of becoming who you were created to be.

Every Inch Matters

In our culture, we measure in miles—big wins, bold goals, flashy finishes. But growth doesn’t usually happen in miles.

It happens in inches.

One inch of courage.
One inch of humility.
One inch of forgiveness.
One inch of getting back up after falling down.

We call it a foot and a half—that sacred space between what you know in your head and what you live from in your heart. True growth bridges that gap.

You don’t need to leap. You just need to lean forward.

Every Step Counts

Whether you're climbing a mountain or building a legacy, growth is never wasted.

Even the tiniest steps:

  • Reading a few pages of a good book.

  • Choosing patience instead of reacting.

  • Asking one more question instead of pretending to know it all.

  • Saying, “I was wrong.”

Those are the kind of steps that stack up into significance.

So don’t despise small steps. Celebrate them.

Don’t wait to feel ready. Walk anyway.

Growth Doesn’t Happen in Comfort

Let’s be honest—growth and comfort rarely hang out together.

You can stay where it’s safe. Or you can step into where you're meant to grow. But you can’t do both.

Comfort clings to the familiar.
Growth walks toward the future.

At Foot and a Half, we believe that growth starts when excuses stop. When you decide you’ve been still long enough. When you realize you’re worth the work.

So, if you’re uncomfortable, uncertain, or even a little afraid—you’re probably on the right track.

Final Thought: Keep Growing, Inch by Inch

Don’t measure your progress by someone else’s mile marker. You’re not behind. You’re becoming.

Growth doesn’t have to be flashy to be real. It just has to be forward.

So today, take the next step. Inch closer to your calling. Keep growing—not for applause, but for alignment. Not to impress, but to impact.

Because every inch matters. every step counts. one foot and a half at a time!
